An herb grown in Argentina. Known world wide for it's health benefit. Tradionally steeped in a hollowed out bottle gourd plant, the herb would be left in the gourd and drank using a filtered straw called a bombilla. Caffeine content is about half that of coffee and is sometimes considered the 'coffee lovers' tea.
Use 1.5 teaspoons per 8 ounces of boiling water.
Steep 5-6 minutes. Rooibos does not come from the tea plant, therefore it does not become bitter with steeping. The longer rooibos steeps, the better it gets.
